After the first INYS College Tour in Indonesia was held at Trisakti University (2014), this year INYS continued the tour by visiting Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia on 12th of June 2015 at the Yustinus Building, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta.
It was held in the form of a seminar and attended by Atma Jaya students from various faculties and concentrations. INYS College Tour opened with welcoming remarks from Pulina Chandrasari – Coordinator of Atma Jaya International office, which was continued by Hadi Santoso – Secretary of Forum Diskusi Ilmiah Mahasiswa (Student Scientific Discussion Forum) which is one of the divisions of Atma Jaya Student Executive Board. They cooperate with INYS to successfully create this event by connecting The Netherlands to Indonesian youth in the educational sector. The main focus was to further discuss about Indonesia – the Netherlands Future Economic Relationship
The event continued with a speech by Mervin Bakker – Director of Nuffic Neso Indonesia who provided information on how interesting The Netherlands is and of course informed about the scholarships offered from Nuffic Neso Indonesia for Indonesian students to experience studying in Holland. Afterwards, Andri Parasian – Alumni of Rotterdam Business School shared his fun experience while living in the Netherlands as a student from Indonesia. Dr. phil. Mikhael Dua introduced the Fran Seda Foundation and student exchange opportunities to the Netherlands specially for students of Atma Jaya. Up next, the audience was energized by an interactive quiz with the questions about the Netherlands. The event climax was filled by Daniel Van Tuijll – Maritime Specialist of the World Bank lectured about Indonesia – Netherlands Economic Outlook.
